Why Should I Buy?

These rods are the definition of bang for your buck. You get high end components in a rod priced at around $200 bucks. I have more confidence in these rods than any other rod in its price range. I always have them on me, boat, kayak or hitting it from the bank. One of my favourite things about these rods is how sensitive and lightweight they are. Which makes these rods a pleasure to fish all day. Not only, are these rods super functional they are well designed and are very eye catching. I love the gray colour scheme. Matches perfectly with my Tatula SV reels.

Warranty

Daiwa offers a 5 Year warranty on all their Tatula Elite rods so there’s nothing to worry about if you slam it on your tailgate.

Tatula Elite

Tatula Elite technology

The Tatula Elite line of rods come loaded with high end components for a price nearly every angler can afford. Daiwa has trickled down technology found in their highest end rods such as the Steez bass rods into the Tatula Elite making this rod a great choice for all anglers.

X45

Crafted to eradicate blank twist and enhance power, X45 incorporates a Bias Wrap Construction, entailing a left/right 45-degree carbon weave within the blank. X45 significantly enhances rod strength and durability by eliminating twist, thereby preserving the blank’s round form. This elimination of twist enables a lighter, more robust, and heightened sensitivity in the rod.

Airsensor Reel Seat

A new reel seat design from Daiwa, constructed with Lightweight SVF Carbon, delivers exceptional sensitivity and ensures a compact, comfortable feel.

SVF Nanoplus

Utilizing nano resin technology, SVF Nanoplus blanks exhibit greater sensitivity and reduced weight compared to standard SVF blanks, thanks to their heightened carbon density.

Fuji Alconite Guides

Alconite is a special type of ceramic that offers 80% greater compression strength and is 20% lighter than Aluminum Oxide. Durable yet sensitive guides that allow you to feel more bites without compromising weight.

AGS Guides

With a weight significantly lighter than traditional guides (40% less than an equivalent-sized titanium guide), AGS guides boast a solid carbon fiber frame construction. This design minimizes weight, enhances casting distance and performance, accelerates rod speed, reduces rod vibration and angler fatigue, and amplifies rod sensitivity.

Tatula Elite

My Tatula Elite Rods

Jerkbait

Tatula Elite Jerkbait rod

Currently, I have 3 rods in the lineup. My first rod is the TTEL691MLRB Seth Feider jerkbait rod and that’s exactly what I use it for. I have that rod pared with Daiwa Tatula SV 103TW in the 7:1:1 gear ratio. Usually I run 12lb Seaguar Red Label Fluorocarbon but I may consider going to 10 for greater castability. The combo is super light and is very balanced. I highly recommend this setup for anyone who is looking to up their jerkbait game.

Pithcin’/Flippin

My second rod I have purchased is the TTEL731XHFB Takahiro Omori Pitchin’. This rod is very stout with its impressive backbone and fast tip. I have 100% confidence that when I hook a fish in the junk I will be able to keep it pinned and land it in the boat. I have this rod paired up to a Daiwa Tatula Elite P/F (Pitchin/Flipin) in the 8:1:1 model. This combo is the ultimate pitchin/flipin combo that effectively pulls in fish and ups your hookset ratio. Reason I went with a 7’3″ rod vs a longer rod for this technique was because a lot of the time I fish from a kayak. And I would have limited of space to flip such a long rod.

Universal/Moving Baits

My newest rod to my collection is the TTEL721MHRB Randy Howell Universal. Though I have not been able to fish it yet as it’s still technically winter in Canada and bass doesn’t open for a few months i have big plans for this rod and it can easily become my most used rod. Daiwa and Randy Howell weren’t kidding when they named it “Universal”. You can literally fish so many baits effectively on one rod. From Sqaurebills, Flatside Cranks, Deep Cranks, to Chatterbaits and Spinnerbaits this rod will get it done. For the reel I went with Daiwa Tatula SV in the 7:3:1. This is the older 2017 model of the Tatula SV but it has a little more drag then the new one so I like that. Not to mention its the exact same shade of grey as the rod. You gotta love matchy matchy. I’ll be running 14lb Sunline FC Sniper because of how abrasion resistant it is.

Conclusion

To end this review, you truly cannot go wrong with any of these rods because of its affordability, quality, versatility and durability. Daiwa Tatula Elite Casting rods are a must for every avid anglers arsenal.
